Kennedy Agyapong has declared that the National Delegates Conference which has elected Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as fair and transparent, stressing that he wholeheartedly accepts the results of the election.
Speaking at a rally after the election today in Accra, Mr Agyapong who came second after the election noted the Election Committee had done its work well and that the outcome of the election is a true reflection of the will of the people.
“I must admit the election was fair. And I accept the results,” he declared in his acceptance speech.
He then pledged to work with Dr Bawumia, the winner of the election, to beat the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 General Elections
Dr Bawumia won with 61.43% of total valid votes cast.Ken Agyapong, came second with 37.41%; Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto came third with 0.76% and Francis Addai Nimoh was last with 0.41%.
The Electoral Commission according declared Dr Bawumia Presidential candidate of the NPP for the 2024 General Elections.
