Musician Sefa says protests in Ghana should be organized well in order to reach the right audience and also achieve the needed results.
She says that in recent times, education on protests has not reached the right audience, hence the needed results have not been achieved.
Sefa was speaking on Accra-based TV3 when she made this known.
“I believe that in order for it to reach the right places, we need to really organize it well. We need to inform the public…I feel like after Thursday onwards, the impact was not really there. What we were trying to portray as youth and the fact that we are suffering became a joke.
They started posting the celebrities that were there and those who were not there but that is not what we are aiming at so they need to organize it well so that the government does not think that we are joking,” she said.
It would be recalled that during the #occupyjulorbuhouse protest, celebrities were bashed for not supporting the cause to register their displeasure at governance under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
However, Sefa indicated that she was unaware of the said protest and could not fathom why celebrities were taken on for not partaking in the protest.
