Deputy CODA Boss calls for adequate resources for teachers

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Coastal Development Authority (CODA), Mr. Kingsley Kofi Karikari Bondzie has described teachers as the heart of quality education, underscoring the need for the public to provide adequate m resources for teachers to make their work more easy, efficient and effective.

“When teachers are given the tools they need, they can help students realize their full potential. One way of doing this is to give teachers the encouragement and appreciation they merit if we are to properly place them at the center of high-quality education. This covers fair pay, opportunity for professional growth, sufficient training, and a positive work environment”. He observed

Mr. Karikari Bondzie who doubles as the aspiring parliamentary candidate for Abura Asebu Kwamankese(AKK) on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) made this observation during the Teacher Awards and Retirees Day celebration 2023, at Abura Dunkwa in the Central Region.

The aspirant who fully financed the event as part of his 50th birthday celebration, saluted teachers of AAK for their collective contributions which in diverse ways have resulted in the alleviation of poverty from various families as well as setting the communities on the path of wealth creation.

“Teachers’ steadfast dedication is what transforms classrooms into breeding grounds for wisdom and knowledge” he added.

On her part, the District Director of Education for Abura Asebu Kwamankese, Madam Dorcas Brenda Asare expressed her profound gratitude to all teachers especially teachers of AAK district for dedicating their lives to shaping young minds, nurturing talents, and laying the foundation for a better future.

“It is through teachers’ dedication and passion that our educational system has flourished, and we owe them a debt of gratitude that can never be fully repaid”, she stressed.

35-year-old teacher of Abura Dunkwa Baiden Walker D/A Experiential KG and Primary School, Mrs. Henrietta Nyarko emerged as the overall best teacher in the AAK district for the year 2023.
