Ashanti Region must show its anger to the NPP – NDC National Executive

National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Joseph Yammin wants the Ashanti Region to collectively bare its teeth at the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration for using the region for votes and dumping it without corresponding development.

Mr. Joseph Yammin believes an organic demonstration devoid of partisanship will do the trick for the region so that the Nana Addo government will at least bring last-minute development to the region.

In a radio conversation monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Mr. Yamin intimates a boycott of state activities that have the President and the Vice President in attendance must be instituted , followed by street protests to draw attention to the plight of the region.

“The region must boycott any welcoming of any member and or officials from the NPP government in the region. If the President is coming into the region nobody should go and welcome him and his entourage”

“The diplomacy in address developmental challenges in the Ashanti region is not yielding results, there has to be a different approach, just recently Takoradi another stronghold of the NPP, the youth went on demonstration, that is what must happen here”

“When you don’t show your anger, how many people get to know you are serious or angry. Diplomacy does not solve all problems, it solves some. The people in Kumasi must rise up and demonstrate, maybe the government will listen to them, knowing that they just have a year in office” he added.
