A Nigerian lady, Grace, is being dragged by X users after she criticized women who give in to their cravings during pregnancy.
She stated this while reacting to a video of a pregnant woman who told her husband that she felt like eating bread and Akara inside keke during rainfall.
“After all these cravings, when their faces start to look disfigured. They will come on Twitter to post before and after videos of how pregnancy made them ugly. girl, you just ate the whole world that’s why, and it’s showing on your face! Stop blaming pregnancy. Blame yourself,” Grace wrote.
“A note to women angered by my tweet, if you ever look at other women flourishing during their pregnancy, not all of them are blessed with good genetics. They eat right, exercise often, use the gym often, practice yoga, go on a healthy based diet, etc
“Let’s talk about postpartum depression, hearing loss, going blind, high blood pressure, unable to control your urinal tract, loss of teeth, and untimely death. Your lack of control towards your eating habits and how it changes your body during pregnancy is the minimum concern.
“And the most overused blame tactic “Its hormones!” or “eating for two” Doctors never advise you to over eat. Also, what about hormonal overplay during menstruation, and menopause? Menstruating females have high cravings but not all women feed into it. We learn to control it.”
