Clearing Ken Agyapong to contest means NPP has lost its soul and identity

Businessman and Finance and Economic Policy Analyst Senyo Hosi has argued that Kennedy Agyapong is unfit to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as flagbearer or even far less important positions within the party. For him the fact that he is contesting to become the presidential candidate means the party has lost its soul and identity.

Mr Hosi noted that it is astonishing that people like Kennedy Agyapong will even contemplate taking up positions within serious political parties.

He contended that Ghana’s democracy is clearly failing if Kennedy Agyapong has feels he is qualified to lead a political party.

“Our democracy is clearly imploding. For such characters to have locus enough for any serious party to even consider for unit committee chairman, more so presidential aspirant, is astonishing. The NPP has lost its soul and identity,” he wrote while sharing a news item on Kennedy Agyapong stoking ethnic tensions between Ashantis and Ewes. Kennedy Agyapong had alleged called on Ashantis to attack Ewes in the Ashanti Region in 2012.

Mr Hosi had earlier chastised Kennedy Agyapong for pretending to be a successful businessman when his success has been due to political favour and patronage.
