A Kano man, Suleiman Isah, who married an American citizen, Janine Reimann, has become a US citizen.
Isah, who was then 23 years old, got married to Reiman, 46, on December 13, 2023.
The couple met on Instagram 10 months before their wedding.
Ms Reiman, a chef based in Lindon, California, subsequently flew into Nigeria for the wedding ceremony which was held at Barracks Mosque Panshekara.
In May 2023 , Isah announced that he had joined the US Army.
Taking to his Facebook page on Thursday, October 26, 2023, Isah celebrated becoming an American citizen.
“Alhamdulillah, i am grateful to served in the world strongest military. Thanks to the United States military for giving me the opportunity to serve and become a citizen of the United States of America. I am now an American,” he wrote.
